Storm Damage Roof Inspection

Hail or high wind came through? We’ll get on the roof, document what we find with photos, and tell you honestly whether you have real damage.

Central Texas storms can bruise shingles, knock granules loose, lift tabs, and dent vents and gutters, and much of that damage can’t be seen from the ground. A careful inspection soon after a storm tells you where you stand while the details are still fresh.

What we check

  • Shingles for hail bruising, cracks, and spots where granules have been knocked off
  • Lifted, creased, or missing shingles from wind
  • Metal vents, flashing, and pipe boots for dents and damage
  • Gutters, downspouts, and screens for hail dents
  • Ridge caps and roof edges, where wind does the most harm
  • Soft spots or signs of water getting in

How it works

  1. Free inspection We inspect the whole roof, not just one slope, and look at the gutters and vents too.
  2. Photo documentation You get dated photos of anything we find, with plain-language notes.
  3. An honest answer If there’s real storm damage, we’ll explain it. If there isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.
  4. Next steps Repair, an insurance claim, or nothing at all. You decide.

After a storm

  • Stay off the roof. Wet, damaged shingles are slippery and unsafe.
  • If water is coming inside, call us right away. We answer 24/7.
  • Take your own photos of anything damaged around the house, with dates.
  • Have the roof inspected before you decide whether to file a claim.

Questions

Common questions

Is a storm damage inspection free?

Yes. The inspection and photo documentation are free, with no obligation.

Will you tell me if there’s no real damage?

Yes. Normal wear isn’t storm damage, and we won’t call it that. If your roof came through fine, we’ll say so.

How soon after a storm should I get an inspection?

As soon as you can. Fresh damage is easier to document, and many insurance policies set deadlines for reporting a claim.

Can you see hail damage from the ground?

Usually not. Hail bruises and lost granules are often only visible up close, which is why we get on the roof.

Do I have to file an insurance claim if you find damage?

No. That’s your decision. We’ll show you what we found so you can decide whether to repair it yourself or go through insurance.
